For a lot of women, fitness and faith live in two separate boxes. Workouts are about the body. Faith is about the heart. At Jen’s Get Fit Group (JGFG), we believe they belong together, and that real strength is built from the inside out.
What is faith-based fitness?
Faith-based fitness simply means training your body with the same intention you bring to your walk with God. It isn’t about chasing a number on the scale or punishing yourself for what you ate. It’s about caring for the body you’ve been given, so you have the energy, strength and confidence to show up for your family, your work and your calling.
Why your mindset matters as much as your workout
Most of us don’t quit because a workout is too hard. We quit because of the voice in our head: I’m too far behind. I don’t have time. I’ll never look like her. That’s why JGFG pairs every week of workouts with tools for mental and spiritual health. When you replace guilt with grace, consistency gets a whole lot easier.
How faith shows up inside JGFG
- Short, doable workouts. Five new 24–30 minute workouts every week, so you can train without sacrificing time with the people you love.
- Weekly meal plans. Simple recipes, a grocery list and a macro cheat sheet, so fueling your body feels like stewardship, not punishment.
- Mindset and faith resources. Encouragement that points you back to who God says you are, not what the mirror says.
- The Sweaty Sisterhood. A private, women-only Facebook community of women who pray for each other, cheer for each other and keep each other going.
3 ways to bring faith into your next workout
- Start with a verse. Pick one verse for the week and say it before you press play. Isaiah 40:31 and Philippians 4:13 are favorites in our community.
- Make it worship. Swap your playlist for worship music on at least one workout a week and notice how differently you feel.
- Finish with gratitude. When you’re done, thank God for one thing your body did today. Gratitude changes how you see progress.
You don’t have to do it alone
